It takes only 45 minutes to get Ngapali Beach from Yangon by flight. Come to here, besides swimming, strolling or exploring the surrounding natural landscapes, you also have chance to take part in a lot of interesting activities such as visiting fishing villages and local markets, discovering the countryside by bicycle or even taking a boat tour to reach the magnificent off the coast. Hotels and resorts are being built a lot on the Ngwe Saung Beach so the beach will soon become a famous Myanmar’s destination in the future. However, if you want to have holiday at a pristine beach and not too crowded, do not hesitate, just take your backpack and go now.

It will take about 7 hours to get the Silver Beach from Yangon by car or you also can take a boat riding along Pathein River. Although it wastes a lot of time, about 16 hours, you will be enjoyed the picturesque landscapes along river’s sides.

The Ngwe Saung Beach is very clean; visitors come here can rent a motorbike to discover the winding roads surrounding the beaches. Food especially seafood in here is very delicious and if you get up early, you also can see the fisherman pulling the net after a night on the sea.

Traveling to Chuang Tha, visitors can enjoy fresh coconut water, eat fresh seafood and breathe fresh air. Fishing villages near the beach also is interesting place that tourists can visit. Chaung Tha Beach is about 40km from Pathein and will take 6-hour drive from Yangon.

One special thing in here is that you only can book a room after arriving instead of booking in advance. The beach stretches 4,5km with golden sand, unlike white sand at Ngapali Beach.

82 miles from the beach is a beach resort of Rakkhine state – “KAN THAYA” in Gwa district. Traveling from Yangon to Gwa is 174 miles by road, and from Gwa to Kanthaya is 17 miles. Gwa has a domestic airport, and you only take about 50 minutes to fly from Yangon to Gwa.
